One of the major activities that STRAW
undertakes is to raise funds for nonprofit
animal welfare organizations in the country.
While grass root level organizations are into
actual hands on animal welfare, we make sure
that their projects are neither stopped mid
way nor prolonged because of meager funds.
As is always the case, funds are a big bottle
neck for any kind of welfare organization, and
especially so in the case of animal welfare.
It is here that STRAW chips in. The methods
that STRAW adopts to make this possible are as
follows:
Government Funding
STRAW is an organization that is recognized by
the Animal Welfare Board of India. We
therefore get grants from the Government to
carry out our various projects along with our
associate animal welfare organizations.
International Fund Raising
STRAW also looks for grants from various
International Funding bodies that are willing
to give grants, particularly for animal
welfare.
Corporate
Sponsorships
STRAW carries out humane education programs in
schools where primary school children are
shown movies about animals and how we need to
take care of them because all of us share the
same environment. For these programs, we tie
up with corporate bodies for sponsorship of
the event.
Individual
There are a number of like minded individuals
who want to help but do not how to go about
it. In such cases, STRAW pitches in because
it’s the drops of water that makes the mighty
ocean.
