STRAW promotes compassion towards animals through its humane education programs in schools. STRAW fervently believes that a message could be best spread through children. The message not only stays with them all their lives but they in turn spread it among the rest of the family members. This means creating a whole new generation with a mindset that’s compassionate to animals.

Straw’s humane education programs are conducted in schools, especially among the primary school children. This is done through the medium of film shows and a few practical activities. For the older children, it shows them how they could provide first aid to injured animals and handle cases of cruelty with knowledge of the laws pertaining to Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership to help prevent animals from being discarded or neglected in the first place. We also promote their responsibility towards animals in the community by highlighting the benefits of companionship between animals and people.
