In collaboration with Robin Hood Academy, Hyderabad, we took our Compassionate Classroom to an area in Hyderabad, where the poor and the economically marginalised people live.
What unfolded was truly heartwarming. They introduced us to their favourite dog Golu and we found that most of the children were already caring for the community animals in the colony.
However, we dived a bit deeper and told the children about the lives of street animals, the way they too feel pain, hunger, and loneliness just like us and that they deserve our care and kindness.
Their bond with community animals spoke volumes. Together, we placed a water bowl for Golu, and two compassionate kids immediately took responsibility for keeping it filled every day with clean water.
In their small act of love, we saw a big change beginning. These young hearts reminded us that empathy often just needs a little spark to shine bright.
