Our mission is to Sow Seeds of Compassion in every child in India through humane education. Our vision is to create a society that values all living beings and treats them with kindness and respect.
In a little over a decade, STRAW INDIA has sensitized over 40,000 school children and college students to be kind to animals and to care for the environment.
We are invited by many schools to conduct our humane education program titled Compassionate Classrooms and our webinar series Stories of Kindness.
We are proud to that our Compassionate Classroom Program was selected to be a part of CNN International’s Call to Earth Day 2023. The program was live streamed to an international audience on November 28, 2023.
STRAW India was featured on the 17th July 2022 on Doordarshan National's show, "Best Friend Forever" on the importance and emergence and the importance of Animal Welfare Education in India.
STRAW India also participated in a panel discussion in All India Radio’s National Program of Talks on the topic Space for All Creatures Great & Small.
