The children at St. Anthony's were introduced to the lives of animals, especially street dogs, and how our treatment of them shapes the world we share. Through stories and discussion, they began to understand that animals too feel fear, hunger, and love and that kindness towards them is not just good for them, but also for us. They reflected on the importance of being responsible and learning to coexist with all living beings.
During the post-session interaction, the children asked thoughtful questions about farm animals and the suffering they endure. They were eager to know how they could help and what changes we can make to reduce harm. It was heartening to see their curiosity and compassion shine through.
The seed has been planted, and with time, care, and awareness, we hope it blossoms into lifelong empathy.
