On the 15th of July, STRAW conducted its first humane education program at Palwal, a small town in Haryana in the north of India.
The program was conducted by Jyoti Sorout who is a wildlife enthusiast and a new volunteer with STRAW.
About 40 students of class three of Jeevan Jyoti Senior Secondary School, Palwal, Haryana, were sensitized to emTRAW conducted its first humane education program at Palwal, a small town in Haryana in the north of India.pathize with pets (puppies in particular) who depend on human families who adopt them. They were also encouraged to allow their pet to be left free in their homes instead of keeping them in chains or cages.
The students got imaginative and made wonderful drawings about how they perceive their pets to be free. The class teacher also helped out and was very encouraging in the whole process.
AGain on the 17th & 18th, Jyoti conducted a similar program for class IV students. In all we sensitized nearly 75 students.
