Can you imagine 50 children in the age group of 5 to 12, putting out 50 bowls of water outside their house and on their terraces for street animals and birds?
Well, that was the kind of ripple effect our recent Online Stories of Kindness session had, when 50 young animal ambassadors learned to paint beautifully on water bowls for birds and community animals. Guided by their creativity and compassion, they filled these bowls with clean water and placed them outside their house main gates so that street animals could drink from them. A few of them placed their water bowls on their terraces to ensure that our feathered friends quench their thirst.
A special thanks to Archana Singh for leading this inspiring online session to teach children the method of painting terracotta water bowls.
Teaching children about taking baby steps to carry out small acts of kindness can make a big difference to the way they think about animals.
Together, we are building a kinder world, one child and one painted bowl of water, at a time!
