STRAW India was invited to conduct its Compassionate Classroom Workshop at Gyan Shikhar Academy, Bhopal, an academy dedicated to preparing young girls for the NEET examination.
The session focused on compassionate co-existence with animals, safe behaviour to prevent dog bites, and rabies awareness as a crucial public safety concern, while fostering empathy and responsible attitudes. Students shared personal experiences related to dog bites, asked practical questions about safety. Some also reflected on the need to amend and strengthen existing laws related to animals, showing a socially aware and critical approach.
Their reflections, responses, and thoughtful questions during the Q&A clearly reflected their curiosity, sensitivity, and deep engagement, making the session truly impactful.
