RECAP 2025
2025 was a year of momentum for STRAW India. We surpassed our goals and reached beyond what we had planned.
We welcomed new team members from cities we hadn’t even imagined working in and launched our "Compassionate Classroom" programs in Bhopal, Bhilai, Pune and carried out a program in a Buddhist school, even during our holiday trip to Mussoorie.
What started as an intention turned into impact, and what grew was not just our work, but our community.
Our journey has been fueled by the unwavering trust and commitment of our dedicated and passionate team members, devoted volunteers, and kind-hearted donors. Above all, we are deeply grateful to Help Animals India, CHAL-USA, and Citizens for Animals (CFA), whose steadfast support has uplifted and strengthened us at every step.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the schools, colleges, and parents who opened their classrooms, supported these conversations, and trusted us with their children’s learning.
To the STRAW India family - Tanveer Khanam, Pranjali Bundela, Prerana Chakraborty, Shambhavi Tiwari, Ishita Gondli, Ayaan Siddique, Amruta Varshini, Pranjali Shukla, Hareram Yadav and to our many volunteers: thank you for showing up with commitment, care, and courage.
We are deeply grateful for the guidance, vision, and leadership of our co-founders Vasanthi Kumar and Dinesh Kumar, who continue to shape this work with purpose.
As we close this year, we will carry forward what matters most:
Creating a Compassionate World for Animals, One Child at a Time.
