We were invited by Sri Sri Academy, Hyderabad, to conduct our Compassionate Classroom session for their 4th and 5th graders & and the students showed us just how deeply young minds can grasp the idea of kindness towards animals. During the session, students learned about the lives of street dogs and reflected deeply and agreed on the importance of co-existing with dogs and sharing responsibility towards them.
When introduced to the realities behind animal rides, many students expressed shock and committed to choosing kindness over riding animals. They also voiced a clear understanding that birds and fish belong in their natural habitats, not in cages or tanks.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Sri Sri Academy and the Principal, whose reflections on caring for animals further reinforced the values shared during the workshop.
