STRAW India conducted their Compassionate Classroom Workshop at Kamla Nehru Higher Secondary School, Bhopal, engaging students from Classes 3 to 11 in thoughtful conversations on empathy, safety, and coexistence.
In response to the growing concerns around community dogs, the sessions focused on animal cruelty awareness, understanding dog behaviour, dog bite prevention, and rabies awareness. Students participated with curiosity and sensitivity, reflecting on their daily choices and sharing the compassionate actions they commit to taking forward.
The active involvement of the teachers and the school principal enriched the discussions, making the learning space truly collaborative. Extending the outreach beyond classrooms, a dedicated session was also conducted for the school’s support staff.
We thank the School faculty & management for their openness, participation, and commitment to nurturing compassionate citizens.
