At Rising Sun High School, Hyderabad, and Government Middle School, Govindpura, Bhopal, STRAW India’s Compassionate Classroom workshops encouraged students to reflect on what it truly means to care for all living beings.
They learned about the lives of birds confined in cages, fish kept in aquariums, and animals used for rides. Through discussion and reflection, they understood that empathy begins with awareness and that kindness is a choice we can make every day.
Students also pledged to adopt instead of shop, to care for indie animals, and to help create a kinder world for all.
