STRAW India was invited to conduct its Compassionate Classroom Workshop for Classes 5 and 7 at V.S. Public Higher Secondary School, Bhopal.
What began as a hesitant talk about community dogs soon turned into a realization that they feel pain, fear, and joy just like us. Students also learned about the suffering of animals used for entertainment which often hides behind our moments of joy.
They also discovered simple ways to help an injured or distressed animal and to not be ignorant towards them. By the end, every child agreed that animals deserve empathy, not exploitation.
