STRAW India was invited by the Department of Continuing Education and the Department of Zoology & Applied Aquaculture at Barkatullah University for our Echoes of Compassion workshop series held across two days.
Students explored what animal suffering truly entails, how human-created environments impact animals, and how conscious choices can transform their lives.
We also addressed rabies, clearing common myths and emphasising that it is 100% preventable when we safeguard both ourselves and our community dogs.
For Zoology & Applied Aquaculture students, we introduced a new and crucial subject: FISH SENTIENCE, how fish feel, express emotions, and why their welfare matters.
A truly fulfilling experience engaging with such thoughtful students. Grateful to the faculty for this opportunity.
Thanks to HAI for their support.
