Thank you, Chinmaya Mission, NOIDA, for giving us an opportunity to sensitize 50 odd school children to adopt one stray animal each and to take care of them. This was part of the Mission’s Sunday School Sessions on June 9, 2019. Both the Swamiji of the mission and Rajni Saggar who organized this session were very happy to include the topic of compassion towards animals as part of their spiritual learning. On their insistence, we also screened a short film on avoiding the use of one-time-use plastic items.
The name of our activity based workshop is “Each one Care for ONE” stray animal. The children pledged to initiate what they learnt during their summer holidays and then to continue with it beyond that. We have requested for another session when we could check this out.
At the end of the session, the children got an opportunity to play with a puppy that Yogita Gupta had organized. This was truly the highlight of the session. By touching and feeling a puppy, many children get over the fear of dogs. Thank You Yogita for organizing Rani to be present at our session.
Thank you, Yukti for all your support during the session and for making it possible in spite of your delicate health.
