Compassion blooms in every city where children are taught to care. Our first Compassionate Classroom @cosmos_academy was conducted for Grade 1 to 4 students, focusing on coexistence with and care for community dogs. Students learnt about the challenges that street animals face and simple ways they can support them. Then we witnessed the most heart-warming moment!
Kelly, the community dog who often visits the classroom for a nap, walked in right after the session and was welcomed with a burst of affection. Students who usually overlooked her gentle tail wags were, for the first time, excited to love her. This is the power of humane education. Minds open, hearts soften, and compassion grows.
