Celebrating World Animal Day at DAV School, New Delhi

Oct 04, 2016 @ 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM Auditorium, DAV Public School, R.K. Puram, New Delhi

On the important occasion of World Animal Day, October 4th, we at STRAW are organized an animal themed event with DAV Public School, R.K. Puram, New Delhi. Students from primary school will be sensitized towards animals through activities as simple as coloring worksheets of animals with an important message attached, along with a small talk on what their favorite animal is and why. Documentaries will be shown to the middle school students, followed by a discussion, which will make them more aware about the feelings of animals and how small gestures go a long way in helping to make their lives better.

Children will pledge to help animals and birds in any little way they can, like keeping clay bowls of water out for them, giving them some food so that they don’t go hungry or shall we say, by just being compassionate and humane.

We believe children are our future and we want to make sure that they are moving towards a sustainable, co-dependent and cruelty-free existence. This can be achieved by inculcating practices of kindness and having a better understanding and compassion for all living beings.
