As we celebrated Tiger Day, students from Vista International School, Hyderabad, joined us on an exciting journey into the world of wild tigers. In this session, children learnt about the challenges tigers face in the wild and explored why zoos often have a negative impact on these majestic animals which inspired them to visit sanctuaries instead of zoos.

Students joined us for an exciting adventure with Juju, the brave mother elephant, as she embarks on a journey to find her baby, Jolly, and bring her back to the jungle. In this engaging story session for children, they discovered interesting facts about elephants and the challenges they face in circuses, zoos, and even in the wild.

In this engaging session for children at Esther Grammar School, Hyderabad, we fostered empathy and compassion for animals in students with the help of interactive discussions. Through storytelling, and creative activities, kids explored how animals have feelings and learnt about small ways to treat them with kindness and respect.

Through Derek’s adventures, kids learnt about courage and loyalty, and the important role community dogs play in keeping our neighbourhoods safe and protected.

By the end, the children proudly pledged to become animal ambassadors, committed to caring for and supporting community animals in their neighborhoods.

The children were deeply engaged in an eye-opening session about the street life of dogs, learning about their daily struggles and hardships. They put themselves in the paws 🐾 of dogs and truly felt their pain, which inspires them to take meaningful action. Each student vowed to help at least one animal in their neighborhood by providing food and water.

STRAW India is very proud to have conducted its first Compassionate Classroom Humane Education program at a school based in Hyderabad. The name of the school is Indic International School, Hyderabad and the title of the session was "How to Make Friends with Street Dogs." This session included learning the body language of dogs so that children could make friends with them and at the same time keep themselves safe from dog bites, etc.
